4月18日，昆明市轨道交通第三期建设规划环评报告取得生态环境部出具的审查意见，标志着昆明市第三期建设规划报批工作迈出重要一步。
近年来，为进一步完善昆明轨道交通运营线网结构，拓展轨道交通覆盖面，发挥组网运营效益，昆明市启动了第三期轨道交通建设规划报批工作，其中规划环评审查为报批的关键节点。前期在云南省相关单位和部门的帮助下，昆明市政府相关领导多次带队前往生态环境部进行沟通汇报，协调推进建设规划环评审查事宜。
今年年初，第三期建设规划环评报告顺利通过生态环境部组织的专家审查，并于近日取得了生态环境部出具的审查意见。审查意见认为：第三期建设有利于丰富和拓展昆明市城市公共交通体系，有助于缓解昆明市交通出行压力，按照相关要求优化方案、落实各项保护措施后，从环境影响的角度分析，规划总体可行。
根据国家关于轨道交通建设规划的审批流程，取得规划环评审查意见后，云南省发展改革委和云南省住房和城乡建设厅正在积极分别向国家发展改革委和国家住房和城乡建设部申报第三期建设规划，昆明轨道集团将严格按照市委、市政府的工作安排和部署加快推进相关工作，争取尽快取得建设规划批复意见，为项目开工创造条件。
昆明市轨道交通第三期建设规划拟上报项目为6号线三期、7号线一期、8号线一期及9号线一期新增段四个项目，建成后将有效提升昆明市公共交通服务水平，极大缓解昆明主城区的交通拥堵问题，并实现对晋宁新区的轨道交通覆盖，届时沿线居民出行难的问题将得到进一步缓解。
规划方案主要包含：6号线三期“机场中心站至长水枢纽站”，线路长度4.9公里，总投资24.1亿元；7号线一期“普吉村至云湾路”，线路长度34.6公里，车站26座，总投资223.3亿元；8号线一期“石关村至世博园”，线路长度13.8公里，车站11座，总投资108.5亿元；9号线一期“公园北路至晋城南”，线路长度10.7公里，车站5座，总投资46.5亿元。
以上4个项目及第二期建设规划批复的1号线南延工程的总长度为71.5公里。
